Resume

Main differences between Georgian and Latin-Roman are:

  • X-heigh is relativelly small/low towards ascender and descender.

  • Role of x-height and shape inside x-square. In Georgian the part of glyph inside x-square always is circle or oval - EYE and middle of x-square always is open - PRINCIPLE of OPEN EYE.

  • From Georgian's point of view Roman glyphs e, f, i, j, k, l, r, s, t, v, w, x, y, z are BLIND - but not glyphs b, c, d, g, h, n, o, p, q.

  • In Georgian neighborhood of glyphs practically always are of circles or ovals. Neighborhood of straight lines is exception.

  • Recognition of glyphs depends mainly on theirs parts located inside ascender and descender and less on the shape of oval inside x-square.
